On January 11, 2025, Sunmow Safety and Health Team conducted a half-day Environmental Awareness Talk and Emergency Response Plan (ERP) program for staff at the Sunmow Main Office. This program aimed to enhance employees’ understanding of environmental responsibilities and to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency.
The morning began with Mr Abieng Baring, Sunmow Safety and Health Manager, delivered an insightful session on environmental awareness. Key topics covered included an important of environmental conservation in the workplace, best practices for waste management and pollution control and individual responsibilities in promoting sustainability.
This session provided staff with essential knowledge on maintaining an eco-friendly workplace and understanding their roles in environmental stewardship.
Following the talks, the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) drill began which was led by the Sunmow Safety and Health Team and aimed at ensuring that all employees were familiar with emergency procedures. The drill included:
The drill tested the staff’s response time and efficiency in handling potential emergency situations, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and swift action in crisis scenarios.
The Environmental Awareness and ERP Drill was successfully conducted, with active participation from all attendees. The session not only increased awareness of environmental responsibilities but also strengthened emergency response readiness. The event wrapped up with group photos capturing the camaraderie.
