Persekutuan Orang Ulu (FORUM) Multipurpose Hall & General Office/Resource Centre Handover
On the 5th August 2024, the much-anticipated Persekutuan Orang Ulu (FORUM) Multipurpose Hall and General Office/Resource Centre handover took place in Miri, marking a significant milestone for the local community. Construction of these facilities began in July 2022, and after two years of dedicated work, the project is now completed.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Kong Chiong Ung (Managing Director of Sunmow Construction Sdn Bhd), YB Datuk Gerawat Gala (Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department-Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring), YB Encik Kennedy Chukpai Ugon (N.66 Murum) as a President of FORUM, and YB Dato Dennis Ngau (N.77 Telang Usan). Their attendance underscored the importance of this project to the region and the community’s future.
This newly completed facility includes a multipurpose hall, seminar room, open space, administrative office, landscaped garden, and a gallery that will showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Orang Ulu community.
